OOTD #78: On Day 1 of the TCF Style Expo I wore a leopard print button up shirt with cold shoulder cut outs paired with a burnt orange circle skirt for the day event. I accessorized look with Betseyville by Betsey Johnson black bow sandals and glitter leopard purse shaped like lips.
I purchased this dress at the expo from LYfeStylzPlus’s boothe. The gold lace design initially caught me eye by the long train and the stretch scuba fabric sold me on it. Dress featured long sleeves, body con skirt with an floor length train attached the back, it also had flyaways peplum style right at the waist. The short length flattered my legs and the flyaways flattered my hips. I absolutely loved this dress, the long train made me feel like royalty.
OUTFIT OF THE DAY #77: Something New
My family was in town so we all got together and went to Sushi & Grill Restaurant for dinner. Since we we’re trying some new food, I was inspired to try a new look. I’ve been dying to wear this new skirt I made, so I based the look around it. I purchased this lavender color fabric in the Spring during a trip to NYC. I fell in love with the fabric’s subtle giraffe print and soft hand. Last week blogger and designer Mone convinced me to try pastel colored lipstick. I thought this look would be the perfect time to bust out my NYX lavender lippie I bought at the Make Up Show Orlando earlier this year.Keeping the train rolling with these fashion firsts, I accessorized my look with a black knit turban, pointed toe flats and Betsey Johnson Camera Kitsch Bag. Kitsch Camera bag was a gift birthday gift from my mom, it’s been one of my most steady summer accessories. The cross body strap allows hands free carrying which I love when I’m on the go. I can have my hands free to snack, take selfies, or text. I fell in love with the turban it added a cultured yet chic element to the look, this piece will definitely be a repeat offender. Tank: Ross | Skirt: Fatshion Forward (by me) | Handbag: Betsey Johnson | Shoes: Charlotte Russe | Lipstick: NYX Pin Up Pout Lippie (Wisteria – Neon Lavender)
I rented this vintage costume from my local Civic Theatre, for their award ceremony. I can’t resist vintage threads this beautiful lace duster was calling my name. The draped silhouette oozed a certain glamour and elegance that I thought was perfect for the occasion.I layered collarless duster coat over a little black dress from Roaman’s. Dress featured princess seams that really flattered my shape and lace sleeves that flattered my arms. I accessorized the look with studded lace up ballet flats, I wanted to keep the lace theme going. Bronze bow shaped clutch and Betsey Johnson pink jeweled necklace and earrings. Completed look with Kat Von D lipstick in color Underage Red.
As you know last weekend I attended the Make Up Show in Orlando, FL. The Makeup Show brings together an incredible range of pro-driven brands, services, celebrity artists, educators and beauty insiders. The show featured over 50+ vendors and 2 days packed with informative demonstrations from experienced beauty professionals. Both days I dressed for comfort without compromising style. Today I wanted to give you babes the details on what I wore on Day two of the Makeup Show. I started my look with a black shirt dress from New Look. Dress features long sheer sleeves and bodice, two pockets above bust and lined skirt. Knee length dress also featured three button closure on placket at center neck down to bust and waist tie which helps cinch the waist. Little black dress runs true to size. Gold “Royal Engagement” Crown hinge bracelet by Betsey Johnson. Bracelet features double row cage silhouette that holds a statement crown motif that is a royal look. Gold tone hinged bangle with pave crystal accents Hinge Antique gold tone plating. Red beaded tennis bracelet stack. Palva slide sandals are Besteyville by Betsey Johnson. I reviewed these a few weeks back, check it out here if you missed it.
Since dress is unlined from the waist up a proper undershirt is required to conceal your bra. I wore one of my favorite caged crop tops by Society+ in white. White crop top added a lightness to the dense black balancing each other out.

This past weekend I attended the Make Up Show in Orlando. The Makeup Show brings together an incredible range of pro-driven brands, services, celebrity artists, educators and beauty insiders. The show featured over 50+ vendors and 2 days packed with informative demonstrations from experienced beauty professionals. While I was there I had to stop these ladies to find out about their #FatshionFoward looks ! Not only were these ladies serving face but also serving style. I love to see plus size women pushing the fashion boundaries. We can wear what we want and these babes sure did and owned it. Check out how these beauty babe’s do fatshion.
First up the fabulous MUA Casey wearing a sleek black Lane Bryant jumpsuit. Her voluminous lashes and curls gave me life. I loved the sheer bishop sleeves on the jumpsuit and how she paired the look with metallic pointed toe flats from Torrid. When asked what inspired her look she said she wanted to look high fashion without compromising comfort. Tre Chic Casey <3.
I am here for this athleisurewear look. From her shell top classic sneakers to the netted T-Shirt dress to the frosted cat eye frames. This look was giving off all kinds of nostalgic vibes. Her hair cut and color, tattoos and ombre lip also gave the look an edginess.
Next up is Mitcheba who is showing us a casual way to rock the utilitarian trend for spring. Going for cute and comfortable with a tan button up from Charlotte Russe, black leggings and single strap sandals. This look is far from basic when you have a crown of braids, glittery gold lips and your brows can cut shade from a mile away. She is two for two with the gold glitter lips which is another Spring trend. Check out www.glamorouschickscosmetics.com if you want your lipstick to be poppin’.
Getting some serious boho vibes from this babes look. Layered look consisted of a sheer kimono with fringe hem over a wine colored shift dress. Dress featured peek-a-boo cut out and a neck tie. She competed look with lace up heels and shimmery lip gloss.
Who says curvy ladies can’t slay in horizontal strips. JLY proves em from in this knit lace up shift dress. She paired the dress with black leggings and sparkly black D’orsay sandals. Accessorized with beaded stretch bracelets, statement watch, and black Michael Kors tote bag.
I fell in love with the way this babe mixed monochrome prints. From her striped tote bag and head band to her check board printed leggings. I think her look is a fun was to break up the head to toe black look most professionals where on the job. This babes vibrant hair color initially caught my eye but when she turned around her distressed leggings and bold lipstick choice made me approach her. Another chic way to wear black from head to toe without compromising style or aesthetic. Her gold jewelry, lace up combat boots and lush lashes completed the look. Can you say fine wine? This babe was slaying in her fitted knit midi dress. She layered the dress with a flyaway cardigan and a pair of high top chucks. Add some wayfarer sun glass to block out the haters and complete the look.
Achieve an effortless leisurewear look like this Miami HMUA when you pair your favorite kicks with a chambray button up dress. Chambray is a great fabric for spring because of its soft blue color and light weight yarn weave. Every look is more fun when your hair is purple *hair flip*. Add baseball cap or hoop earrings to complete the look. Dress: Target // Shoes: JC Penney
Jessica’s colorful dreads and sequins top from Forever21 initially caught my eye. But as I approached her I noticed so many other little fashion forward details in her look. For instance she layered Ashley Stewart tights under black shorts from Citi Trends that feature several woven patterns, her leopard eye glass frames and her bright pink backpack. Keeping it cute and comfy she completed her look with a canvas sneakers. When asked how her look came together she said that working in the beauty industry has inspired her to mix glamour and edge without compromising comfort.
The only thing cooler then Samantha’s blue hair was her caged kiss print top. Her top is obviously inspired by the occasion. Love Samantha’s style ? Her outfit is available at Torrid. She accessorized the look with gold hoops, a spike stretch bracelet, watch and sandals.
