“Be as bold as your lipstick” RealHER

Hey girl hey,
How is summer treating you? Can we chat for a second about my favorite lippie by RealHer. Are you familiar with the brand? They are famous for their  high quality products and the empowering affirmations printed on every single one of their products. You know I am all about body positivity and uplifting women so of course I had to introduce you to this brand. My go to lipstick is always a moisturizing one I am not a fan of mattes because of their dryness. Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links.

Women Rule The World

REALHER Moisturizing lipstick  is infused with Shea Butter, Jojoba Seed Oil, and Vitamin E for ultimate hydration and comes in 12 empowering shades. Priced at 18.00 their specially formulated lipstick offers a creamy smooth application and long-wearing satin finish in shades ranging from neutral to vibrant. Their unique formula contains encapsulated water inside a traditional oil based lipstick. The encapsulated water begins to slowly release after application and your lips will feel even more moisturized after several hours. Did you know that with every purchase of our Moisturizing Lipstick, 20% of the proceeds are donated to AAUW. AAUW has been empowering women as individuals and as a community since 1881 through research, campus initiatives, and public policy.

Fat is my favorite F word

Fat is my favorite F word ! But it hasn’t always been, the word Fat use to have power over me. But I’ve reclaimed it and infused it into my brand. I am choosing to empower myself and others through fashion and body positivity because neither of those things are inclusive to one type of person.  I’ll be showing off this fat summer body all season long with confidence. Happiness isn’t specific to one race, body type, gender or age. I was stunned to hear that “91% of women are unhappy with their body. 80% of women say images of women in media make them feel insecure.” We have to stop comparing ourselves to hundreds and thousands of dollars worth of surgeries, treatments and makeup. You don’t have to drink Flat tummy tea, bust your ass in the gym or go under the knife. “It’s okay to be fat and stay fat” Fat is not a bad word and having body fat does not equal poor health. Everybody is different, just love and embrace yours. Let your light shine from the inside out. Don’t hide inside this summer go out and tan those rolls 😉 Check out this full line up for more inspiration.

12 Plus Size Friendly Books To Read This Summer

Hey girl hey ! I’m back with the reading line up, check out the first one here. Do you remember back in high school when they would give you a summer reading list right before school closed for summer break? Some of the books were mandatory some were suggested, some popular. A few of the titles put you right to sleep and some of them kept you up all night reading. But of all those stories how many of them could you actually relate too? 1 in a million right. Today I am bringing you my summer reading list. I put this list of 12 books together to give you babes some fabulous titles to read while you tan on the beach or float in the pool. All these books are either written about plus size women, in the point of view of a plus size woman or written by a plus size author. I am working my way down the list and you should too. Take some time to yourself to just relax, read and stimulate your mind.

  1. You Have the Right to Remain Fat by Virgie Tovar
  2. The Body Is Not an Apology: The Power of Radical Self-Love by Susan Renee
  3. The Not So Subtle Art of Being A Fat Girl: Loving The Skin You’re In by Tess Holiday
  4. Big Fit Girl: Embrace the Body You Have by Louise Green
  5. Curvy Yoga®: Love Yourself & Your Body a Little More Each Day by Anna Guest Jelley
  6. Big Gal Yoga: Poses and Practices to Celebrate Your Body and Empower Your Life by Valerie Sagun
  7. The Curvy Girl’s Guide to Style by Chastity Garner
  8. 13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl: Fiction by Mona Awad
  9. Landwhale: On Turning Insults Into Nicknames, Why Body Image Is Hard, and How Diets Can Kiss My Ass by Jes Baker
  10. The Lighter Side of Large by Becky Siame
  11. The Fat Bridesmaid by Brooke Zaras
  12. Fat Chick, a novel by Lorraine Duffy Merkl

These books can be found online at Amazon.Com for download on the Kindle App or in your local Barnes & Nobles. But I recommend doing a google search to see if your local bookstore has it. It is important to support your local bookstores and libraries. If you’ve already read any of these titles let us know which one was your favorite but no spoilers please!  What’s on your summer reading list? Can’t wait to hear from you 🙂
