Fall Hues = Season Blues

Outfit of the Day #55: Fall Hues = Season Blues
4fatshionforward_ootd55Happy Monday my loves, I hope you all had a good weekend. Today I’m bringing you dolls one of my office looks. This polka dot button up dress from Old Navy is one of my latest thrift finds and I found polka dot sunnies to match. I’m wearing a size 20 and dress runs true to size although it did fit snug around my stomach area. So to my apple shaped beauties definitely size up. Sleeveless dress features buttons along center front as closure, curved hem and detachable tie at the waist. The black and white classic polka dot makes the dress timeless and easy to style.
2fatshionforward_ootd555fatshionforward_ootd55 I paired polka dot dress with one of my favorite knit blazers. I wanted to add a pop of color to the look to break up the monochrome print. My cobalt blue blazer and flats got the job done nicely 😉 . I always see this shade of blue reappear around this time of year so I was prepared this time. I bought these faux suede flats from Charlotte Russe. Review will be up tomorrow so check back for that.1fatshionforward_ootd55I accessorized the look with a large clutch, midi rings, two beaded bracelets and sunglasses. Oversize clutch has a monochrome magazine cover print from seam to seam and a black patent leather handle. This clutch like midi rings are the perfect accessories for day to night looks.

Business Chic

OUTFIT OF THE DAY #41: Business Chic

Hello ladies *waves* How are you? I’ve been busy busy busy working on some things behind the scenes. This week I styled what I like to call a “business chic” look. A quick definition of a business chic look is a look that is chic and has personality while still being working friendly. I have always had a love for business wear, I adore a crisp tailored look. As I flipped through garments in my closet looking for something to wear I got this vibe. I noticed that my personal style is evolving. Yes I still love bold colors and prints but my style selection are more elevated.4FatshionForward_OOTD415FatshionForward_OOTD41

After trying on several options I landed on this match up. I’ve had this nude midi skirt in my closet that I have been dying to wear. Skirt features parallel knife pleats along the entire length of the skirt. This skirt had a classic and chic essence about it. The color is so neutral that it pairs well with almost everything.

I paired the pleated skirt with a watercolor printed chiffon blouse. Blouse featured bishop sleeves, draped necklace line, and a vibrant watercolor print. Accessorized look with pointed toe nude flats, multi layered pearl necklace, and dangle earrings. 90% off my look has been gifted or thrifted but cannot be found in store. Feeling inspired ? Grab your favorite blouse, midi skirt and get to accessorizing.
