Where The Wild Things Are

Outfit of the Day #67: Where The Wild Things Are

Woke up this morning feeling very inspired. I try and remind myself on my worst days why I started my blog in the first place. To inspire people to be themselves and embrace their personal style. I am taking advantage of the weather that has been warming up with a printed crop tank. Tank features tie neckline, cropped hem and stretch fabric. It felt nice freeing my arms from winter’s style layering.
I paired tank with pleated olive green skirt from Target Who. Wear. What Collection. Skirt features a comfortable stretch lining, sheer pleated overlay, midi length and stretch waistline. Skirt is very flattering on the waistline and hip. Pleated skirts are trending right now and they give off a very tailored and collected vibe no matter what it’s paired with. Have some fun with styling add a Moto jacket and boots for an edgy punk look. Or go the casual by pairing sneakers for a casual look or stay buttoned up for work in a oxford shirt and cardigan.
I accessorized look with Betsessories (Betsey Johnson Accessories). Lips shaped hand bag featured black linked chain handle, and top zipper closure. Gold Fox earrings feature green eyes and a silver circle encrusted in diamonds in their mouths. I completed the look with pointed toe faux leather ballet flats in a nude shade.

fabuplus_fatshionforwardI absolutely LOVE FabUplus. Why? Simply because it’s a magazine focused on plus size women and body positivity. I love that it’s not just online but can actually be delivered to your door. I personally enjoy reading and love the fresh smell and the crisp edges of a new magazine. I squeal when I go out to the mailbox and I see that plastic bag wrapped around my new issue. I enjoying browsing the latest issue of a magazine but it can be kind of depressing constantly seeing women who look nothing like me and reading stories that I can’t relate too. Lucky for us, FabUplus came along and changed that, they cover topics in the categories of fashion, lifestyle, beauty, health, body positivity, fitness and so much more. My jewelry speaks to me

1FatshionForward_Create

Happy Fatshion Friday everyone. I hope your week was as productive as mine. I want to share a bit of my story with you today. Something I’ve been wanting to do for so long but not knowing how to approach it. Why I decided to study fashion ? Why I got into plus size fashion ? Why I become a blogger and a stylist? I love to create, it’s as simple as that. I love to create clothes for my clients, create content for you all, inspire others with my unique style.

My mission is to create a lane for women like me, to get representation in fashion for non-curvy plus size women. Although fashion is progressing apple shape body types are still neglected and unappreciated in this industry. I create inspiration and content for these women, I also design for them. I found myself through body positivity and I want to help other learn to love themselves and create the version of them self that they want to be.

So on those days when I’m feeling not so body positive or I’m having creator’s blocks I grab my reminder. When I was browsing through the new tribe collection at Cents of Style this necklace spoke to me. It became my reminder of why I started on this journey and why I continue to do what I do. It reminds me of my mission, my goals and my dreams. It reminds me to stay positive to stay productive to stay motivated. I’m wearing the “Create” script tribe necklace they come in three other styles: Script, Bar and Disc. These necklaces look amazing alone and even more stylish when stacked. Tribe collection is available in fashion gold, silver, rose gold and bronze. I chose the “Create” rose gold toned styled necklace that features a 14″ chain with lobster claw closure and 3″ extender. Each necklace has a different word or phrase so let them speak to your individuality. If you love my “Create” necklace check out these other inspiring styles.

Staying positive and staying creative can be hard no matter what walk of life you’re in. Whether you’re a student, artist or working a 9-5. Life sparks creativity, everywhere you look there is a chance for inspiration. Whenever you hit a creative block where you’re feeling uninspired. Go get your reminder put it on and go out and sparks some creativity.

Love It Or Leave It All Black Look

OUTFIT OF THE DAY #37: Love It Or Leave It All Black Look

1FatshionForward_OOTD37

I know what you’re thinking wearing  all black in the Georgia Heat is a crazy idea !! But it actually panned out to be a very cool and comfortable look. It felt effortless and chic the way the cropped peplum paired with the faux leather. I started off with this black peplum top from Boo Hoo that has a diamond cutout along center front and along both of  the straps. I added these black faux leather pants with bows at the back calf from Torrid. I paired the look with my favorite Bohemian inspired summer sandals from Charlotte Russe. You ladies know how much I love color I had to add some color to this look somehow.

So I accessorized the look with this silver jewelry set. I have noticed the Elephant stampede in fashion, I’ve been seeing it a lot in accessories and graphic tops. I think it’s adorable so when I was gifted this set I couldn’t wait to incorporate it into a look. The set came with a necklace, bracelet and a pair of earrings that all had a turquoise stone encased in silver. I completed the look with the ultra matte lip color by Colour Pop.
