Fat is my favorite F word ! But it hasn’t always been, the word Fat use to have power over me. But I’ve reclaimed it and infused it into my brand. I am choosing to empower myself and others through fashion and body positivity because neither of those things are inclusive to one type of person. I’ll be showing off this fat summer body all season long with confidence. Happiness isn’t specific to one race, body type, gender or age. I was stunned to hear that “91% of women are unhappy with their body. 80% of women say images of women in media make them feel insecure.” We have to stop comparing ourselves to hundreds and thousands of dollars worth of surgeries, treatments and makeup. You don’t have to drink Flat tummy tea, bust your ass in the gym or go under the knife. “It’s okay to be fat and stay fat” Fat is not a bad word and having body fat does not equal poor health. Everybody is different, just love and embrace yours. Let your light shine from the inside out. Don’t hide inside this summer go out and tan those rolls 😉 Check out this full line up for more inspiration.
Hey girl hey ! I’m back with the reading line up, check out the first one here. Do you remember back in high school when they would give you a summer reading list right before school closed for summer break? Some of the books were mandatory some were suggested, some popular. A few of the titles put you right to sleep and some of them kept you up all night reading. But of all those stories how many of them could you actually relate too? 1 in a million right. Today I am bringing you my summer reading list. I put this list of 12 books together to give you babes some fabulous titles to read while you tan on the beach or float in the pool. All these books are either written about plus size women, in the point of view of a plus size woman or written by a plus size author. I am working my way down the list and you should too. Take some time to yourself to just relax, read and stimulate your mind.

What’s on your summer reading list? Can’t wait to hear from you 🙂
OOTD #82 : Sweeney Stripes
As you know I spent the past couple months costuming Sweeney Todd. Jessica (my partner in costuming) and I had a themed pattern and color palette that was apparent through all the characters looks. Red, white and black mixed with stripes. There were also red splatters every where but you can blame that on the demon barber of Fleet street. I took my outfit inspiration from our costume theme and put together a look for myself for the finale show. I wanted to see my work from the audience so I got a ticket for the finale show. After designing for the cast I wanted some Sweeney stripes of my own, so here is hat I whipped up.
Black and white striped tunic with cap sleeves, and a ruffled flounce at the hem. I designed and sewed this tunic myself. I purposely sent the stripes in different directions to putt your eyes where you want them too. I paired striped tunic with solid black stretchy leggings. I accessorized the look with red tennis bracelet, red lippie and red suede round toe ballet flats.
I absolutely love wearing my own designs, because they are one of a kind and it feels good being an original. Want a custom Fatshion Forward piece of your own ? Outfit of the Day #58: Ross x Pink Club Wear
Happy #FatshionFriday my loves. Today’s outfit of the day is very fall forward, I’m showing you babes how to wear a summer piece for fall. I’m also tackling two trends in one look: Trench coat trend and Rust: color trend. Rust is like a burnt orange shade from Pantone’s fall palette. I came across this dress during my latest shopping venture through Ross Dress for Less. I just had to have it especially since the price was unbeatable. The shift dress was priced at $12.99 and is available in sizes small – 3x.
I purchased dress in a size 3x which runs true to size and although it’s a stretch knit I don’t recommend sizing down simply because of the style. The shift dress has a loose fit and it will lose it’s shape if it’s stretches up more then a half a size up. My favorite detail of this dress is the faux laced neckline which flatters your bust. Dress features long sleeves and the hem dances right above the knee making it a great staple pieces for the season.I layered a black trench vest by Pinkclubwear over the dress, for a autumn chic approach. I bought this trench during PinkClubWear’s summer clearance sale. When I saw this sleeveless trench I thought it would be the perfect transitional piece. The vest embodies minimalist style and was an easy piece to layer. Because it’s sleeveless it layers well with the thicker fabrics of the season and fits comfortably over long sleeves, cardigans, sweaters and over outerwear. Trench vest featured waist tie belt, pockets and and buttons along center front as closure. Vest runs one size smaller (3x = 2x) so if they don’t have your size you can just tie it closed or wear it open like I did.
I accessorized my look with a chunky statement necklace with matching earrings, midi ring, and a cognac faux leather satchel. I completed the look with cognac faux leather booties by Charlotte Russe. Slip on booties featured braided band detail with buckle at ankle and slouched shaft. I mixed two lipstick colors to achieve the lip color I’m wearing.

OUTFIT OF THE DAY #52: Fashion to Figure
You know those mornings where you literally try on most of your waredrobe and nothing fits your mood quite right? This dress is my backup plan, I pull out my go to dress it’s always on standby. What makes the perfect go to dress you ask?
Dress must be chic yet minimalistic and most importantly versatile.
I bought this dress during a Sample Sale at the Fashion To Figure HeadQuarters in New York City earlier this year.
This dress styles well for so many occasions. I have worn this flirty little flare number to brunch with the girls and also to dinner for date night. Here is a snap of me back in May wearing my go to dress. The red wine color makes this dress perfect for a season transition look. Flare dress features a lace insert that flatters the cleavage and adds the illusion of a peek a boo. I’m wearing a size 3x, dress is cut true to size.
Dress is sleeveless and has a flared hem that dances right above the knee. I paired dress with black faux suede almond flats, check out review here. I accessorized the look with a bow ring, a chain choker necklace, bracelet and a beaded anklet. Silver bow ring makes a statement of it’s own and is lined with jewels. Necklace plays on the choker chain while still maintaining a statement essence. Find your Go-To-Dress and never be stuck with nothing to wear again.
