Outfit of the Day #64: Lane Bryant x Torrid
Two short weeks ago I was at the Tennessee Theater watching Cinderella on Broadway. I flew out to TN to visit my best friend. We met in a theater class and our friendshio grew from there. We planned to attend this show as a fun double date. The whole experience was amazing from the theater to the costume changes to set designs and scene changes. The theater itself was beautiful with its red velvet seating, gold trims and accents. The ceiling and windows painted all completed this very luxe experience.
To be honest upon packing for the trip I put together a few different looks but wasn’t really sold on what to wear. *Queue dressing room montage*. After ten minutes of playing dress up with my bestie I landed on this look. Tennessee was COLD and it was raining everyday but I was determined to wear my pink faux fur coat. Pink coat added a layer of sophistication, glam and not to mention warmth to this look. I layered coat over black georgette midi dress by Torrid. Sleeveless dress featured white hearts printed on it and a knit lining making it very comfortable. Dress had a light and airy hem, with a feminine and flirty silhouette.
I completed the outfit with black faux leather riding boots simply because of the weather. But I think the dress is versatile and could pair nicely with flats or wedges also. I added a black infinity scarf for additional warmth and a simple crossbody by Betsey Johnson. I love crossbody bags because they provided handfree accessorizing. The entire show was amazing, and they have a great line up for next year. If your in Tennessee I definetly recommend checking out a show. Or find out what is playing at a local theater in your community. It is so important to support the arts and keep theater alive. What can I say once a thespian always a thespian.
